While promoting gender awareness via these pageants, she did volunteer work at non-government organizations and other interest groups that help save Mother Earth and help combat global warming. She found more pleasure in the environment and entertainment. Although life has been rocky for Althea, she's tough, resourceful and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She began living the effeminate lifestyle during her college years and later moved to Cebu City to work for Convergys. Her hobbies include cooking, playing volleyball and tennis, traveling, relaxing on the beach, taking pictures, book reading, horror/thriller/suspense/action movies, and learning new things.
